The Energy Transition Action Day

Behind the titles above you find all resources needed for a school day for students from 15 years and above. Climate protection isn’t something we can tackle alone—it’s a challenge we need to face together! Real change happens when the whole community gets involved and drives action.

Online Materials

In three modules students can explore essential lessons on sustainable mobility, energy and housing in an interactive way. They can be used as a preparation for the Energy Transition Action Day, so students do not start unprepared. They can also be used as a follow-up to deepen contents and for repetition.
If you want to include only one topic into your learning adventure – it is there at your disposal.

The e-learning works without registration – just start here.

The Teacher Material

The guideline for teachers gives you concrete instructions and a manual to conduct your very own ETAD project day with your students.

The PowerPoint slides provide a concise structure for the project day, which you can use to orient yourself. They will guide you through the day and offer content, best practice examples, points for discussion to give your students insights into the different topics.

The video offers an interesting and motivating overview over the necessary steps to bring forward the energy transition in their respective cities and communities, and to make sure that the energy supply of the future is sustainable and climate neutral.

The Tool

The interactive online learning tool is embedded into the Energy Transition Action Day and demonstrates the diversity of climate actions. All the actions shown are technically mature, tried and tested and can be implemented in your municipality immediately. The concrete CO2-savings of each of the climate protection actions selected here can of course only be determined on the specific data basis of your municipality.

A manual for the online tool handling is included in the teachers’ guideline in the chapter “How to use the software tool”. You can access the tool here.

If data from a city expert is added, see manual and start here.
