Multivision
die Multivision e.V. is a nationwide non-profit association based in Hamburg. The aim of the association is to promote political and social education of young people. die Multivision designs, organizes and hostes educational events and project days for secondary schools in Germany and Austria on socially relevant topics such as ecology, environmental education, democracy and human rights. Each year, they thus conduct about 1000 environmental education events, reaching about 150,000 students, along with teachers and parents.
die Multivision employs about 25 permanent staff members. Multivision e.V. works with partners, both nationally and internationally, to create content and realise the school events. These partners inlclude NGOs, especially environmental associations, as well as foundations, cities, public utility companies and other communal service providers. At the local level, the die Multivision also work with representatives from businesses and administration, so that the projects have the widest possible publicity and reach.
akaryon
akaryon is a research based Austrian SME founded in 1999. Since 2000 akaryon comprises of two locations, one in the rural area of Styria, one in the Austrian capital Vienna. The company has gradually grown in terms of turnover and employment and currently employs more than 10 people. Interest for sustainability topics and the intention to increase awareness on the responsible use of resources are part of our corporate mission: We are specialized in the development of complex web applications dealing with environmental and energy related topics, thereby often fulfilling educational purposes. Apart from capitalizing our web-based/mobile environmental informatics applications as standalone solutions, we also take part in environmentally relevant educational projects on a regular base not only introducing our know-how but also providing our solutions to project target groups (for example learners with different educational backgrounds). We often also co-ordinate these projects, as well as we also have experience in managing co-operative research projects.
Colegiul Vasile Lovinescu
Colegiul „Vasile Lovinescu” Fălticeni is a big vocational high school, located in the Suceava Region (NE of Romania).
In 2024, the college will celebrate its 100th anniversary. It was, at its origins, founded as an agriculture-oriented school. The school merged with other learning institutions, adding economics and mechanics to the training portfolio. After 1990, other specializations were set up: construction and civil engineering, food industry, forestry, and environmental protection.
Nowadays, the school has 14 technological studying areas and theoretical studies.
Currently, there are more than 1300 students (including evening classes, technical-vocational school, and post-high school), 102 teachers, and 38 support staff members.
It is a comprehensive school institution that prepares students mainly for the labour market. Many students come from remote rural areas, facing many challenges (geographical, economic, and social obstacles).
Currently, the school takes part in European projects, in the following directions: professional training in the fields of hotel business, food processing and programming, environmental protection and sustainable living, and gamification.
5ο ΓΥΜΝΑΣΙΟ ΚΑΡΔΙΤΣΑΣ – 5o Gymnasio Karditsas
The 5o Gymnasio Karditsas is an urban school with a relatively small force of students (aged 12-15 years) and 25 teachers, located at Karditsa, in the center of Greece. – It provides high quality education to students. – The teaching staff demonstrates a real interest, dedication and high level of professionalism ensuring a safe and challenging environment for students to acquire knowledge, develop structured personality and to lay the foundations for their future personal development. – Strives to achieve excellence in all, in a pleasant and supportive learning environment, motivating students. – It is open to community and also is an extroverted school with several volunteer activities, cultural and informative events. Also environmental education programs, health education, consumer education, cultural education are being implemented. It also has a tradition in the European dimension.
Every year, in the school are beeing implemented environmental programs approved by the Ministry of Education with topics: Renewable energy sources, School garden, Sustainable management of the forest ecosystem, Climate change, Ecological footprint and Solar energy.
The school is a member of the National Environmental Education Network on “Renewable energy sources and ecological footprint” In 2021, was awarded with the first prize in a pan-European competition on “Solar Energy”.
